I've been taking sleep formula pills for 7-8 years now. For the past year or so, I've taken them at least once a week.

If I stop taking them, will I go through withdrawal?

This is something you can discuss with your doctor, or, if you prefer not to do that, you can start with asking your local pharmacist, who will tell you what he or she is able, and whether your really need to ask your doctor. I have found my pharmacist very helpful in deciding whether I needed to refer my drug questions to her.

Wow, that's almost nothing! Herbal stuff and only once a week...Yikes - I'm worried because I've been taking prescription pills for twenty years to help me sleep. I can't see how I'll ever get off them.

I wouldn't worry if I were you.

Well, it would be great if everyone slept well every night. Insomnia and other sleep disorders are extremely common, unfortunately.

Would you say I have insomnia?

Or does it just take me a little longer to fall asleep some nights than others?

Update: I did it! I slept well every night last week without the sleep formula pills. And I didn't go through withdrawal or rebound insomnia.

I guess I'm not dependent on them after all.
