Hello, I wonder can anyone interpret this dream for me which for many years was recurring......I am in a room in my neighbors house(a small room) and there is a red volkswagon Beetle flying around the room and all I do is look at it flying around. That's it,,,short and weird? Thanks in advance if anyone can tell me what they think.

You are looking at a part of yourself flying around.

Red can denote anger or passion.
Seeing a driverless vehicle can denote a need to reassess the level of control over your life. Seeing a car can represent ambition. If you aren't flying, could mean you're struggling with ambitions and independence in order to fly.

Interesting pun as the insect beetles do fly.

With something this brief, we might need to get some associations. Can you describe this neighbor and their house, and what they make you think of? How about the room--was this really in the house?

What size was the flying Beetle?

What was the feeling of the dream? How long did it go on? Were you doing nothing but watching the Beetle?

What are your associations to Volkswagon Beetles? How about the insect beetle?

I had forgotten that I had asked for help with this dream. Thanks for the replies. Mike..These neighbours lived directly next door to us when I was a child. My mother had several VW Beetles but never had a red one. It was a large house with many rooms but this particular room was one of the smallest in the house. When I see the car flying around, I am ducking and diving. The car is very shiny. These neighbors were very friendly with my family. The car just flies around just under the ceiling and doesn't come hit anything in the room, in fact, I never see any furniture in the room. the house is exactly the same as ours. I would be grateful for more thoughts. Don't know if this will help. Thank You.

Do you know at what age the dream started? It has a child-like feel to it, a fantasy feel.

Do you recall the feeling of the dream? Happiness, sadness, fear, patience, impatience, etc.

Well my first thought is that it's something repetitive, something looping. It's repetitive both in the sense the VW keeps flying around and around, and also it's a recurring dream.

Another thought is that it's a kind of children's fantasy... a flying car.

You said initially that you were just watching it, but you said later you were ducking. I imagine there was some of each. In either case there's a kind of passivity... you are not the one doing the flying, but observing. It makes me think about how children have little power compared to the adults in their lives. A child must sometimes "duck" to stay out of the way of adults who are insensitive to the needs of the child. It's possible there was some pattern in your life that required you to continually duck out of the way of the adults, something that felt like it was "on a loop."

You seem to associate VW Beetles with your mother, as she owned several.

I don't know what to make of it being red. I don't have much experience with interpreting colors. I don't really think stock interpretations of colors are all that useful either. For example some people would say red is either anger or passion. I don't know if that is always true.
