There was a period in my life during which I would dream myself hitting or even killing cats. I opened a topic here and somebody told me that "the cats are part of myself" and that "I am torturing myself". Last night I had the first such dream in quite a long time, only it was slightly different than the previous ones.
There was a black cat that I would grab by the tail, smash against the walls and then throw out of the window.

I would say it may be interpretted in two ways: first, I'm torturing myself again with stressful thoughts; second, it symbolises the bad luck I have had all these years and how I am, or have, getting rid of it finally. But since I am not qualified in dreams, I have opened this topic. Thank you in advance!

In my experience, my own insights are much nearer to their actual meanings than ones people assign to them.

Yeah, if I'm not mistaking you gave me that link at my previous post in this section; it's indeed useful! But since I am still insecure about myself I would like to hear other interpretations as well.

Hi Joy, I am, by no means an expert in this but what I would interpret this dream to mean is that....the cat is an obstacle in your life..you are desperately trying to remove that obstacle/s. You are fighting that obstacle in your unconscious, the cat, grabbing it by the tail and smashing it against the wall could represent your anger toward this 'thing' that is in your way and throwing it out the window might mean that,,you know that, in order to get rid of it, to move on, it must be removed from your life.....that's just my interpretation.

In this dream you are throwing it out the widow. It could some part of yourself you don't like. You may be to mean on yourself, thus throwing yourself out the window.

So the cat being black doesn't have any relevance, does it? Until now, all the cats I have 'destroyed' were either gray or orange, this is my first black cat.

L.E. I forgot to add that in this dream as I was holding the cat by the tail I felt fear, even despair to a certain degree, followed by a relief when the cat was gone from the room, as oposed to the other cat dreams in which I would be very angry and hateful during the 'process'

The back cat means you feel like an outcast. What you are doing to the cats is what your are doing to yourself, inside yourself.
