I don't know why, but I keep "waking up" in my dreams. When I open my eyes I can see everything around me, but I'm still in a dream like state. I then start to hear voices, screams, whispering, sharp static sounds, and so on. It's very confusing.

Has anybody here experienced anything similar?

Yes, it can be very confusing. I have, when I actually woke up for real, gone and looked for people who I saw go into my closet to hide :-) I have lost count of the number of times I have awaken and jumped up when a phone has rung in the next room of my house (no phone there).

It's still a dream. So, I would look at your present day and why you do/do not hear voices, screams, whispering, and sharp static sounds? I was very anxious when I had the worst and most bizarre of my dreams and finally realized that the anxiety would out and I would not let it out during the day, when I had to work and "appear" normal?

I would try thanking your dreams for all they do for you and maybe ask them to put a kind word in there if they felt they had to do the voices, screams, whispering, etc. or maybe you have an object you love that you would like your unconscious to put in the room where it is not now so you could see it and realize it is all you and you are on your side helping you be as healthy as you can.
