I've had pretty bad anxiety for a while now an have been oversleeping for a few months. Some days I sleep the proper amount, but often I sleep 10 - 12 hours. I can't fall asleep until very late (like 4 or 5 am) and I then sleep for 10 - 12 hours. All throughout today I have felt "dizzy" when standing and sometimes when sitting. The "dizzy" feeling I have is hard to describe. "Dizzy" is not the right word to use as I don't feel like I'm going to fall over. In fact, I can balance on one leg with ease. It's more a floating feeling that is kind of similar to the feeling of dizziness. Whenever I lay in a bed I don't feel this "dizzy" feeling, however. I am wondering if anyone else with oversleeping problems has experienced this? Is this a symptom of oversleeping or anxiety, or both?
Additionally, about the "dizzy" feeling, I would like to add that the feeling of floating is not accompanied by an extremely high heart rate. Also, unlike normal dizziness, the feeling is worsened whenever I bend over or kneel on the ground. When this happens, my heart rate increases quite a bit. Like I said before, lying down makes the feeling go away.
Good health to all and thanks for helping me out if you can.
