I dreamt of my mother last night. I was at school, seems like a college, but I couldn't remember what class I was supposed to be in, and didn't have pens, paper, notebooks, and my mother was there visiting. She was going to wait for me til after class. I lost my coat too. I might have also lost my money or wallet. I don't know what that has to do with anything.

I went back to the office cause I was going to ask for a copy of my schedule, and buy some school supplies in the store, but ran into my mom again. She was holding a duffle bag, and a folding chair. I was upset and thought she was leaving and when I asked she said no, "we" were just going to the park (and I knew she mean Candlestick Park in San Fran) to spend the day while I was in class. "We" seemed to be me and her, but a separate ME. So I said forget school, its late now anyways, I could go with her. So we started to leave. Then I woke up.

Very strange.

If you need back ground on my mother I can give that.

Well if I were to give you a clue from my own dreams, I would say your mother represents one aspect of your self and you represent another aspect of yourself.

Is there some conflict in you about going to school? Is your mother usually a disciplinarian that you hope will just let you play in the park?

How did you feel when you said I can forget school in the dream and then you go with her?

How did you feel when you woke up?

You are leaving a "disciplinarian" way of life to a more relaxed spontainous way of life. That is why you forgot all those school related things. Your mother is the mirror image of your free self.

Well, my mother is passed. She was an alcoholic, neglectful and didn't raise me. But we had a friendship before she passed. She certainly wasn't a disciplinarian.

I was really upset with myself for forgetting my schedule, how could I possibly forget something that I do every single day (in the dream)? I am 45, not in school for a very long time now!

I felt good being with mom in the dream was glad to see her, but got a little panicky that she was going to leave and not tell me. When I woke up I felt slightly distressed.

TerriLynn, you hold the key to your dreams and they can bring messages that we cannot receive in the outer world.

Life after Life by Dr Raymond Moody recounts the near death experience of his patients that were revived.

"School" related things refer to things in present day life such as schedules and so forth, or schedules you placed on yourself in the past. Once again your mother represents a part you. A part you seem to get along with in the dream.
