This forum has helped me with a lot of questions and I want to thank all of you.

I have a question which I hope someone can help me with.

I was in therapy for depression and was able to successfully let go of my ex.I even had a dream of him dead. But the sadness continued. So to get rid of the lingering sadness,I started reading about abandonment pain from childhood and it made a lot of sense.Suddenly yesterday,I had a dream of my ex with another woman and child.

I'd like to know what this means.Should I stop reading about abandonment ?? Also is there a way to get rid of my lingering sadness?? I miss him a lot.

I

It's very understandable how your mind is wondering what may happen to him, pondering the possibilities... Like he moved on and had another family while you are still hurting for him.

In your dreams the "Ex" may represent a part of yourself that died. In the 2nd. dream is you starting over with a new life. Sadness is associated with letting go of old ways of self. This often occurs through Therapy.
