Just last night, I had another weird dream about something Metal Gear Solid related. Initially, I was in a kiddie in which I could choose my own path marked by different-sized footsteps. I chose the regular sized footsteps and ended up going down a series of waterslides in which I ran into a bunch of people I know.

Right then was when the Metal Gear weirdness began: I met the character Paz Ortega Andrade at a bar in which I made my move on her and we started passionately kissing each other. During that time, she started biting my shoulder and after a couple times admitted there was a voice in her head telling her, “Eat him, eat him!” that she couldn’t control. She ultimately bit me once more before shrieking at the top of her lungs whilst I screamed her name. At that point, she gruesomely transformed into an ugly red one-eyed monster that I had to fight and defeat. Strangely enough, this ultimately turned her into a bowl of mashed potatoes, which I refused to eat. More stuff happened in the dream afterward, but it wasn’t near as haunting as that freaky, yet intriguing sequence of events.

Upon waking up, I had a hard time reeling myself out of it that I wrote it all down. Thus far, it’s bothered me so much that now I wonder what it’s all supposed to mean. Any ideas?

Other important info:
- I’m 20, white male, live in the Midwest.
- I’ve been invested so much in Metal Gear and its characters as of lately.
- The night before, I took two pieces of melatonin to go to sleep, woke up four hours later, took another, then went back to sleep before this dream ultimately woke me up.
- I frequently think about what it must be like to be in a relationship with a girl in which I am free to kiss her and such.

This dream could relate to some thing that is happening in real life. Something that is eating you and that you refuse to eat.
