Best I can remember of the nightmare is being on a boat fleeing from something, working on stories just to calm my brain and such, all while worrying that if I accidentally stuck my feet out of the boat the monsters would get me. I might have been fleeing from vampires, but I'm not sure. Also a bit of a loop in the dream where I show up at a hotel and it's on fire, and I have to go to another room in another hotel just to take shelter. I think it might have actually been the vampire portion (plus another portion that reminded me of the scene in Return of the King the movie where Frodo's running through Shelob's lair) that actually scared me enough to sleep with the light on for a while.

You were probably thinking about some thing in real life while you were dreaming. You were making some connections.

Well, I was kind of working a bit on a new and disturbing image that I had before I went to bed. So I guess that didn't help. And it contributed to why I was so tired in the morning.
