There are over people and places in my dreams that mind mind recalls from another earlier dream. Dream memory, so-to-speak. My mind then builds off the original dream, making it more complex. It's very hard to put I to words, but it's as if I am watching a show, which stops one night and may pick up months later. The dream then builds and becomes more complex and sometimes interconnected. From taking to people over the years, I have gathered that my dreams are a bit stranger and more involved than most people, but does this happen to anyone else??

I've had dreams where they have connected from one night to the next. Are these dreams disturbing?

Sorry, for the typos, I swear this made more sense when I wrote it (not sure if the moderators change things grammatically). No, on the whole, they are not disturbing only extremely detailed. They are almost like a little world onto themselves, and thus creepy.

I wouldn't worry too much. Think of it as your own little sanctuary. Try to control them, lucid dreaming.

That's a nice way to look at it, a sanctuary! It does feel that way at times!

I have had that happen a few times! And even stranger.. I'd sometimes wake up and know that I just remembered something, in that dream, from another dream. But I can't remember it now that I'm awake again. Does that make sense?
I usually try to find out what it is that I remembered and then forgot again, but I never can, untill I again wake up one day and realize I just remembered it again and forgot it again..

But the dream series are nice, they're usually pleasant ones for me and can turn into an epic and very long story.

I dream like that a lot. But I my dreams are no sanctuary. I dream about the purge, my teeth falling out, my mom dies again all the time. My boyfriend finds a new girl, iv dreamed of my mothers sisters torturing me. My dreams will link themselves together and the more control I seem to posses during my dreams the faster things lose control around me. I would love some nice pleasant dreams. Unfortunately I don't recall in the past few months having any GOOD dreams. So your not alone and it makes me feel a little better knowing other peoples dreams seem like stories or script's.

Hi Genny!
Here's my take...you are becoming more lucid in your dreaming AND the message/symbolism of the previous dream is not being addressed so you go back and add to it. It's also a way for our higher selves to draw attention to ourselves when we awake to actually recall the "strangeness" of our dreams and then consciously "wrestle" with it. This then takes us deeper into wondering who we are.

If you can recall two dreams like this, where you experienced them back to back so to speak, please post them here. I'd be happy to assist you in interpreting them.

With kind regards,
Guy

Yes - I used to frequently have dreams that would be connected, or to do with previous ones. Not so often anymore though, I've not had a dream for some time.
