I developed sleep issues in 2012 and am slowly getting worse. Lately I've been getting really tired during the day and falling into this deep sleep almost instantly where I dream. I thought that was normal until I was reading about sleep disorders and found that dreaming during naps could be an early sign of narcolepsy. I have been terrified of developing a conversion disorder more then anything. I'm so scared to see a doctor because of this. Is it possible that a possible sleep disorder could be just a conversion disorder? My thearpist said its not and that they are 2 completely different things. I was also thinking that conversion disorder develops quickly and pretty much out of nowhere and my sleep issues have been developing gradually since at least 2012 but possibly before. It's been very slow. I'm terrified of the Conversion Disorder diagnosis I don't want to talk to anyone except my psych doctor. Can someone please explain Conversion Disorder and sleep disorders?

Don't know much about sleeping disorders but I have conversion disorder and its usually related to some type of psychological trauma there's a range of symptoms seizures falling hearing problems seeing problems speech problems etc there are groups on Facebook of people with conversion disorder if you truly believe you have it. But you should go to your regular doctor and get more testing done
