I always have dreams like this. One just last night and I've been thinking all day about how weird it was. I wasn't in the dream as a character per se but it's like I was watching it. Like I was just a ghost in the room. I'm a 29 year old female and my dream was about a older heavy set man. No one I knew or anything. Anyone else have these dreams??

Well... I don't remember a lot of my dreams. But of the ones I do, I'm often not in them. Frequently it's like I'm watching a movie. Occasionally they seem to become quite involved. I typically forget all about them once I've been awake for a few minutes.

Yes, sometimes they are like these amazing, original movies about history or something. I am not even in it. I wake up and want to write it thinking it's a great story. No idea why I think of it in my dreams.

Recently I've been in a really good mood, but have been having really violent dreams where I am kicking in my sleep. don't know why, either.

Hi,
Well...my take is quite different than many others. Here's what I've learnt people can be in my dream...
* They could be a symbol of my masculine or feminine
* They could be a teacher
* They could be my over soul
* They could be another life
* They could be people I've incarnated with before
* They could be aspects of myself

In most, but not all of my dreams, there are usually many people in the dream. Sometimes I have the role of an observer, as you did in the dream you referenced. Other times, I am a player in the dream. Sometimes I am both an observer and a player in the dream.

So, if you are still here with me, you're either likely wondering what drugs I am smoking to come to this or, how can you interpret what I call "Who's who in the dream zoo?"

One answer is to learn to meditate. By doing this, one can connect with one's higher self. Then one can ask oneself questions about who's who in the dream zoo.

To confuse you a bit further, when one can connect with one's higher self or over soul or whatever you want to call it, it doesn't mean that one will always get answers. Why not?

It's because, when we incarnate, we have "free will". We are here to learn. We do this by making thousands of choices each day. The "reality rules" we incarnate into allow us to learn. Therefore, one's higher self can guide but can't always say "do this and not that".

So, I have slowly learnt over many years about different people in my dreams and am able to quickly tell myself now who's who in a dream.

I put up a dream discussion paper on a free website "learningfrommydreams" dot com. If you're interested you can read it. It's a work in progress since I am constantly learning about myself and dreams.

If you'd like an interpretation of the dream you've mentioned, then let me know and I'll ask you some questions.

Regardless, may your dreaming journey be en-lightening!

With kind regards,
Guy
