I often have difficulty sleeping - waking up early and staying up for many hours or not falling asleep

Now on the couple of nights I did sleep that day I had lots of anxiety and panic

Possibly could just be stress or certain things but

Has anyone had the experience that once they start sleeping better they have higher anxiety and / or panic?

No... I have not had this experience. Personally I find the more tired I am the more difficult it is to contain the inner volcano...

I agree. But the couple nights I actually slept it was heart pounding panic the next day. Could be other reasons I suppose.

I've had a similar experience. I'm thinking it's because when I'm tired, I literally don't care about anything beside being tired so, a lot of the time, all the depression and anxiety stuff takes a back seat lol. Also, I read that sleep deprivation affects serotonin levels in the brain, so maybe that has something to do with it too....

Also, has anyone ever felt super paranoid as they get ready to sleep/at night? This has been happening to me for a few weeks now and it's quite bothersome.
