For the last 3 or 4 days, I have been dreaming of choking on something, like swallowing a hard candy. Which startles me awake, but once I am wake I realize there is nothing there. I am not even gasping for air or really choking at all.
This is making me very scared to fall asleep for fear it will happen again. |

I had a similar experience a few years ago now. In my case, I was recovering from an overdose & I had extremely vivid & disturbing dreams. Each time I would wake up, I would dread going back to sleep. And when I did, I would have another variation on the same dream all over again. So I have some idea of what you're experiencing. I wish I had some suggestions to offer as to how to overcome this. I'm afraid I don't. But I just wanted to say I hope this episode passes for you as soon as possible.

OK, now I am not only choking but 2 times now it feels like my foot is going thru floorboards when I am clearly laying in bed. Is that weird or what?

I don't know. I don't think in my opinion it is "weird", but you are thinking that sensation is unpleasant? Is that what you are asking?
I'm just thinking of my own experiences, I have dreamed that I am falling from something or sinking, and it is something that seems to be quite common. Best wishes, hope you get a restful night. |

I often don't want to go to sleep but when I finally do, I don't want to wake up.
