I just went to see the Dr about my sleep study results today.he said I don't have sleep apnea but said it is my fault for having insomnia and gave me a brochure about getting better sleep.i have had insomnia for 30 plus years & then a jerk Dr who has seen me for 10 minutes tells me it is my fault because I can't sleep

Did he explain how or why he believes its your own fault and advise on how to remedy it????

He told me it is my fault because I drink soda.But that is bs I drink 2 to 3 sodas a week.he is just a jerk

Just 2-3 sodas? That's nothing. I drink 2-3 pots of coffee or more a week. Most Americans live off coffee to some extent which has a hell of a lot more caffeine than sodas.

That doctor sounds like most doctors in any mental health related field; overly educated idiots who think they know everything because they have a fancy college degree and can read a bunch of books, yet fail to realize that they need common sense and critical thinking skills to actually utilize said knowledge. Doctors like him are just insecure little jerk wads who want to abuse their "power" to make themselves feel less insignificant than they really are.

Don't let it bother you. Just fire his dumb *** and get another.

Only 2-3 pots a week? That's my coffee intake a day.

He is a Dr who mostly just reads sleep studies to see if people have sleep Apnea.he flat out told me during my first visit before I had a sleep study that he doesn't believe depression causes insomnia & depression is just a excuse for insomnia.i think he is full of crap.he obviously hadn't had depression or dealt with verbal abuse growing up
