Had a dream of being inappropriately dressed for work. I didn't know I was inappropriately dressed until I pulled in front of the entrance. I realized I only had a casual shirt and shorts on. I had to tell my mom who was driving me and even though she said there was nothing wrong with how I was dressed, she took me back home to get changed. In the meantime I texted my supervisor saying I would be a few minutes late and apologized profousely. I felt so bad and worried I would get in trouble.

She responded in a random weird way, giving off the vibe she really didn't care I would be late and that it wasn't a big deal and to just simply get to work when I can. The dream jumped to me finally being at work and it was one of my coworkers that lashed out at me and gave me a lecture about being on time even though I was never late in the past. Not sure what this dream meant or why I had it. Kind of weird. I have never arrived late in the past or dressed inappropriately for work in real life as well which is good.

The dream may show you feel you can not be yourself at work. You may also feel people at work are to critical.

That actually makes sense. It is true that I can't be myself at work. I understand it is work and you have to be professional, but I believe you should be able to be yourself while being professional at the same time. I do agree, my coworkers are very critical. They are themselves around each other, but if I am myself, then they are critical towards me. I feel like it is possible to be professional and be yourself at the same time but unfortunately some work environments don't allow it.

You may want to start a search for a different work environment.

Oh yes I agree and I already have. Hope to have a new, full time job within a year. It is time for a change.
