I've been having nightmares the last 7 days, usually about the end of the world or my death. They wake me up every 30-45 minutes and it takes me a bit to calm down and get back to sleep; As such I'm very tired by the time morning comes. Does anyone have and advice on how to avoid these nightmares (if any)?

Ask your doc for some prazosin. I take 5mg some people take more. It has worked well for me.

Prazosin works for me too, but I quit because all my dreams were dulled. Foods make a difference with me too

@DeeJay14 and SorryShaped, I've been on quite a few medications in the last few months so I'd rather not start something new, but I'll bring it up to my psychiatrist
@regretful, I'll try and block out stuff at the end of the day, before I go to bed. I usually watch some YouTube before I go to sleep (and have been for 6+ years), so I'm definitely stimulating my brain before shutting down Thanks all

You are in Therapy, and that may be causing this. Death can mean Transformation. Thus the end of your old world, as a new world begins for you.The nightmares may mean you are in the process of healing.
