I have been put on 3L of oxygen at night because most of my night meds, especially 3mg klonopin and the fact that I am a shallow breather, suppress my breathing. I actually like it and am more awake and effective in the morning. My problem is with the cannula. It is really hurting my nose, causing nose bleeds, sores and other nose problems. Anyone on here that can give me advise on how to get past this? Thanks!

Not uncommon with nasal delivery of 02. You can try using a humidifier that can be part of the tubing/oxygen set up. Talk to the company that manages your oxygen delivery system. Talk to a pharmacist. There are safe nasal gels you can use also. Just a few thoughts. Good luck.

You should switch to a CPAP mask instead of the nasal cannula.
