Never thought of it as a sleep disorder, just a neurological one.

Can be a sleep disorder. Can also be linked to some psychiatric medications.

I had a dream Michael Jackson kissed me last night. I often have dreams of people who have passed away kissing me, one of them my little sister. I dream of movie stars and singers too kissing me and it feels soooo good. I wonder what it all means?

Thanks for the link. I've had something I refer to as RLS although I've never sought treatment for it. It started out in my legs... but over time spread more-or-less throughout my body. I'm not an older woman though. So perhaps I don't have the added CV risk. A day or two ago I read a NewsBot article, here on PC, that said long-term anxiety can be a predecessor of Alzheimer's disease. So I guess I potentially have all sorts of interesting things to look forward to...

There is medication that can help with RLS. I take Ropinirole and it helps a lot.

First thought is that this is comforting to you to be given a personal showing of love from people you care about. I think we all want that positive affection from people we care about and admire. Glad you have such a positive response to it.

I have RLS which has also resulted in PLMD. (Period Limb Movement Disorder.) RLS is treatable by several different meds. (I take Mirapex, a Parkinson's medication.) Since it only affects me when I'm sleeping, or trying to go to sleep, I would certainly classify it as a sleep disorder.

I'm actually wondering if my depression imbalance is somehow connected. There are several anti-depressants that don't get along with Parkinson meds. Would be nice if it disappeared when my head gets straight. It started several years ago, right about the time my downward slide did. I don't expect it to just go away, but it certainly would be nice.

For the PLMD, I found eliminating caffeine reduced the occurrences. My partner says I repeat the same exact "twitch" every 22 seconds on the nose. Could be a leg, a hand or my whole body. Usually lasts a few hours and does not wake me like the RLS does.

While i may not have been diagnosed with RLS officially, i believe there is no doubt i had it. In my case the cause was stress related. After having it for about two years and finding myself at a breaking point, the primary stressor in my life was removed. I've not experienced it since.
