I had a dream where I got word that there was a nuclear explosion in another state, which killed many people, including family members there. Then a little while later, I was inside the living room watching the news about the explosion when I heard air raid sirens blaring. I ran out on the front porch and saw a couple neighbors outside looking at the sky and then running inside their houses. Knowing what had happened in another state after watching the news and being told what happened, I knew that a nuclear bomb was going to be dropped. I was very anxious and wasn't sure what to do.

I looked at the sky and didn't see anything, but I did hear the sound of an approaching plane. Right at that moment, there was a massive explosion. There was a very loud boom followed by a blinding flash of light. The sky turned into a yellowish red and a huge mushroom cloud formed behind my house. I ran inside as the power went out. No one else was in the house. I decided to run down to the basement and was going to run back outside through the garage since I no longer felt safe inside but then I saw the garage door, which was opened for some unknown reason, close on its own.

I ran back upstairs and as I ran up the stairs, they began to crumble and collapse right behind me. I made it upstairs but tripped and fell. I had no time to get back up since the floor kept collapsing just inches behind me so I did a sprint crawl around the house. As I was crawling back to the front door, I heard a voice say that the basement was already filled with three feet of lava and was rising fast. It was coming from the hill behind the house caused by the nuclear bomb. I was also given a choice to either stay in the house and run upstairs or take my chances outside. Knowing that there was no time to spare and that staying inside was worthless, I decided to take my chances outside and darted out the front door away from the hill where the lava was coming from and heard the rest of the interior of the house collapse behind me.

As I ran out of the house, it came apparent very quickly that I was the sole survivor of the nuclear explosion. The air was extremely hot, the mushroom cloud was still visible, although much higher in the sky, the sky itself was still a yellowish red, and there was a yellow haze in the air. All the houses were still standing from the outside, but I knew that what happened inside my house happened inside all the others as well. Collapsing inside while standing upright outside. I was told to just keep running down to the main road and find a safe place to go. The dream ended there. In the dream, I felt fearful about the event and saddened that I was the only survivor of the disaster. I also felt lucky and surprised to have been able to get out of my house due to the way it collapsed and how it filled up with lava very quickly. Not sure what the dream could mean or represent but it was definitely realistic for sure.

It seems that way. Or at least feels that way.
