I keep dreaming I'm dead. I feel myself drift out and empty from my body. I see my body and know that its time is done. It's very peaceful and matter of fact. I'm not fighting it. It's like I'm grateful life is finally over.
Anyone else ever dream like this?
This is fairly frequent, as in most nights I dream like this and if I nap during the day.
I have another dream that alternates with it frequently, but it's obvious what that one's about and I can't put it here anyways
Thanks for this!

Yeah I have had a couple of these. Where I can feel myself dying. Usually happens when I’m napping. One time I was literally telling myself just to “let myself go” then I suddenly woke up and I’m like “wtf???” I wasn’t even depressed or anything at the time.

Any dream you have where you die is an indication that you are experiencing transformation of some kind emotionally. Maybe this is your subconscious signaling to your conscious mind that you've finally calmed down about that traumatic bowel surgery you had. It's part of your healing process from that invasive surgery. It's a good sign.

I think Blanche is right. It does seem I'm physically adjusting to it and mentally I'm starting to.

@SorryShaped I had the same kind of death-dreams after my traumatic brain injury. I believe it is the body's way of communicating to the conscious mind, "this is how you're healing is progressing along" as weird as it sounds. This may be a good time to jot down your dreams to track your healing progress. Dreams can tell us a lot about ourselves.
