I have lots of sleep issues. I am diagnosed with PTSD and I have sleep paralysis. Now it seems like my Sleep Paralysis doesn't bug me as much, which I think is a good thing. Now it seems like I am constantly sweating in my sleep and this is all related to PTSD. I'm able to get to sleep fine, but every now and then I will get intense nightmares and sweat. Does anyone else go through this?

Dear Amethyst_Stargazer,
I did experience what you describe many years ago. It was awful. Luckily it went away on its own. So sorry you are suffering this! Sincerely yours, Yao Wen |

Yes, PTSD can contribute to several sleep issues. The brain is struggling to figure out how to file the trauma. It's hard when it comes to the brain trying to file the fear that comes with trauma. And it's not unusual for someone to wake up tired from sleeping. It's also common to get cold and hot during sleep too.
