I lost a parent and it was a big trauma for me. Today I had a dream where he is trying to come in to the house and I am closing the door. In the dream he keeps following me but I reject him and doesnt know it is him until in the end when I see his face.
I woke up from this dream really shaken. This is someone I miss everyday and means the world to me.Why would I reject him in my dream? Any insights into this dream is appreciated because I cannot make any sense of it. Thanks. |

Sometimes details in dreams can be clues, objects or conditions and your associations to them. Without that, one thing I might wonder is whether there were some unfinished business between you and this person, especially where you may feel you let them down or didn’t hear them or let them in in some way. In dreams a house can mean yourself, or your life. I don’t see closing them out as your desire, but as a symbol of guilt or anxiety you may be carrying. Your dream suggests you were not closing them out by choice, but in your lacking awareness to them, not seeing who they really are, or not hearing something they we’re trying to tell you. You may have missed something in your relationship with this person that you now wish you had been more open to or more aware of. If so, perhaps let them know in prayer and maybe you can share your love or support or awareness now.

The feeling I got from your dream was that you're not ready to let go of the grief from the loss of your father just yet.🙏
