I started dreaming of how one of my brother who has schizophrenic during an episode had became very violent with my dad when he broke my dad rib and was trying to break his neck in a rage no one said or did anything to my brother that would trigger an out burst. I woke up fighting in my sleep thinking my brother was trying to hurt me and my parents who are no longer here. I think it was cause by me reopening an emotional wound that I am trying to heal with my therapist.

Your dream could, as you said, very well be triggered by the emotional wound you're working on with your therapist.
It's not easy having such dreams... they can feel so real and bring back memories that haunt us through the day... Hope you're feeling safe. |
