I will keep it simple: My oncologist changed my pain control, so I slept for 15 hours. It's the first time ever, and I feel weird. My friend called me when I woke up and told me something someone did to him that made me really angry. I don't usually get mad like that to that degree. Is it the sleep, the pain, or the change in the med? I will go back to the other medication if it is that. I have calmed down now, but that is too much sleep.

I'm so sorry that happened to you. I wish I had answers for you but sadly I am at a loss. Hopefully others here can shed some light on what might have caused your long sleep and untypical anger.

Usually side effects like sleeping a long time are short lived. The anger though could have many reasons. I’d give the meds a week or two to see what is really the side effect and see if the benefits outweigh any potential adverse symptoms
