It was neat.

Yesterday I found out I the call centre where I work is closing.

Then this morning I had this dream.

In this dream a man with very clear facial features carried me like a child. I told him I was dreaming and it wasn't real, but he kept telling me that it was real.

He carried me and kept me safe.

It was nice. What does my dream mean?

The interpretation I am leaning towards was that the man was God.

This is weird because I consider myself an atheist.

In the dream I said it wasn't real, but the man said it was real and I believed him.

Since you are an atheist, i am not sure if it would have been God specifically. However, it could certainly have been your minds interpretation of God or a higher power.

Perhaps at this time with your work closing, you feel it would be nice to have a father figure "carry you" through this difficult time. And so you mind manifested a father figure to carry you! You knew that it was not real, but he assured you that it was real - perhaps he meant in the sense that it is still significant.
