I was on 800 mgs of Seroquel at the beginning of November and tapered off of it by 1/11/09. I had really bad withdrawal symptoms but the worst is the rebound insomnia. I have not been able to fall asleep before 6am since I have gotten off of the drug. After I fall asleep, I wake up every hour until I can't sleep anymore which is around noon. I have tried EVERYTHING to try to get me to sleep. This includes Ambien, exercise, healthy diet, vitamin B, warm milk, melatonin, sleep aid, darkening my entire room, listening to relaxation tapes... you get the point. It's been over two months and I can't take it.
Has anyone ever had this problem? If so, how long did it take you to finally be able to sleep again? I am sooooooo tired. Exhausted. Any comment is welcome. Thank you. Denise |

I've never dealt with insomnia, but I read a book once and the author said to trust your body will take care of itself and get as much sleep as it needs and you will sleep when it no longer becomes important.
But heck, it could be wrong though, there were very few things in this book that I actually agreed with. |
