On another post someone mentioned not being able to speak. I have had several dreams, though not recently, where there was a bad or evil type person and I was able to identify them but I couldn't speak to warn anyone.

Do lots of people have this kind of dream where they can't speak? In one or two of them when I could finally get anything out of my mouth was when I woke up.

That was probably me In your other thread. My dream of where I could not speack yet I was screaming for help for me tied into my bieng orally raped .

I have not had the same kind of dream as you have described above because i don't believ there are evil people even though I have had evil things done to me . They are just very ill and dysfunctional.

I'm comming back in to add to this.
To be completely honest. I waver back and forth but try to stay with being very ill and tag on an ocassional "monster"

I noticed you came form an alcoholic home . So did I and it was my father that was the primary abuser. All my life I saw who was doing what but had no way to put words to it , what to call it, what to say . so therefore I couldn't tell anyone . I couldn't speack.

It takes along time to say it , and feel/accept it.

this is not easy for me to share this .

I thought I should respond about what I meant by evil. I did not mean evil people. I meant evil like in evil spirits or demons that sometimes were posing as people.

Yes, a lot of people dream about not being able to speak and when a person cannot speak in a dream it usually represent not being understood by others or having difficulty in explaining your self to someone.

It has been a very long time but I used to have this recurring dream of not be able to speak and warn others that the the object, person, place, thing they were speaking to was evil or meant them harm. But I htink I was a kid the last time I dreamt anything like that...it is strange though

Once again what you lean towards this dream meaning, is probably the correct interpretation.

Not being able to speak in a dream generally denotes feeling silenced IRL. Maybe you sense danger IRL but feel no one will listen to you. Maybe you have that feeling about life all the time, that you know things but have no one to share them with because no one wants to hear what you have to say.

it sounds like you're getting spiritually attacked in your dream. if you want to pm me i can offer some simple advice that will hopefully help.
