Friends,
I have had a stressful week. Monday night there was a fire in the pasture behind our property. No one lives on the property, and it took me awhile to get a deputy out to check on the fire. Eventually, he called the Fire Dept. We are currently living in rural Kansas where a lot of property owners like to burns their pastures so it will grow back richer and stronger. Evidently there was no one watching the fire to make sure it was contained. The Fire Dept. sent what looked like 6 - 7 emergency vehicles. We don't have fire hydrants out here, so the Fire Dept. has to bring their own water. It was comforting to be able to sit on my back deck around midnight and watch all of the vehicles arriving with their lights, and to see the line of fire I had been watching since around two hours, finally being extinguished. Tuesday afternoon I was napping to help catch up on my sleep the night before, when I heard my husband calling my name in an urgent manner from downstairs, saying, "We have to get Molly to the vets!" While we have three St. Bernards, Molly is our beloved senior Saint, we have had since she was a puppy. Her nose was bleeding profusely, so we all jumped in the truck and sped off towards the vets, who we called on the way. Molly's nose had stopped bleeding by the time we got there. The vet sent us home with some creme with cortisone in it. Well just after dinner, her nose began bleeding again. We called the vet, and he said to bring her in, in the morning for surgery. We spent a stressful evening trying to administer the medicinal creme to Molly's nose during two more bleeding events. Fortunately, her nose remained in tack during the night, and we were able to drive her back to the vets early the next morning. We called around noon to receive the good news that she had made it through the surgery. Molly is now 10 year old, which is fairly old for a St. Bernard. All our other dogs, we have a total of six, were besides themselves worrying about Molly. Everyone was so relieved to have her home last night, especially my husband and I. Anyway Tuesday night, while I was trying to sleep and worrying about Molly bleeding to death in the night, I had very physical dreams. I mean physical in the sense, first I woke after I fell like I was falling. Then I had I think about three other dream sequences where I kept running into walls. While there was no pain, there was a physical sense that I had hit a wall. I did have a mild concussion from banging both sides of my head simultaneously on the back door and door frame, while trying to restrain my Great Dane from running out the back door. My husband is terribly unsupportive both financially and emotionally. Last night I was with my parents, who are deceased, who were trying to help me find a new job. Oh, did I mention that I didn't know of late if I was in trouble with my boss at work? Feedback especially about the running into walls part would be especially appreciated. EJ ![]() |

It could mean that you feel frustrated where your living and who your living with and there is no way out. You also don't feel supported by anyone really, and the only way for you to escape is through an addiction that may bring on more problems if anyone finds out about it. |

Shelle,
What addiction? I didn't say anything about an addiction. The rest sounds right on target. What state is the "Beehive State"? EJ Quote:

EJ - I have a feeling that the running into walls thing may be because you feel frustrated at having this situation with Molly repeat it self over and over. Perhaps you feel as if you are "running into a wall" with no idea what to do to help her? Even though you are bringing her to the vet, i bet it is still frustrating to have had to rush here there several times.
I have heard that falling dreams mean you have a situation that is beyond your control - and this could apply here too i think. |
