I've quit on and off since I started 5 years ago and my last cigarette was in December or January. I guess I've been under a lot of financial stress lately and just really anxious in general. But man it's so hard not to light up. I know doing so will hurt my girlfriend, nevermind me... but aaahhhh!!!

I only know an eating saying, "Food never solved any problem except hunger". What problem does smoking solve? None whatsoever. You might feel temporarily less anxious but it would not solve whatever problems are making you anxious in the first place? Do some pen and paper work, listing what you feel your problems/anxieties/stresses are at the moment and get to work on those to become less anxious and you'll be busy and think less about the smokes!
