I am really disappointed in myself. My fiance just left me and the first thing I grab onto is a cigarette! And I don't know if I'm ready to quit again!

nicotine is a powerful narcotic, that's why it is so hard to stop, it helps with bad feelings.... when you have processed your grief, you might decide to stop again, in the meantime, 3 yrs means your lungs are clean again, and buys you time...

best wishes
Gus

Quit for 3 years and just started back up

Don't be disappointed. You did it through 3 years - that's a lot!
Just keep quitting! Don't let a slip-up turn into a relapse.
KEEP FIGHTING, IT'S WORTH IT
Hugs

Sorry about your breakup. As an ex-smoker, I understand how easy it is to relapse back into the old habit. I'm sure after you process your grief over the breakup you will manage to quit again and will want to because you will realize how much better you felt without them. Good luck.

I agree - three years is a great accomplishment, don't forget about it and hold onto it hard. You can do it again. You may not feel ready now but hold onto the fact that you don't want to smoke and you will be able to leave it behind again. One day at a time you will get closer. Just hold on, don't give up on it.
