(((nikki))) I've heard that Wellbutrin has been very successfully used in helping with smoking cessation. It slowly makes your cigarettes very distasteful over time to the point you never want to pick one up again. I'd seriously question the prescribing doctor about any troubling withdrawal effects of coming off this medication once you've successfully quit smoking. I hope this helps and wish you the best!!!!

Try to smoke in different way, like pipe or rolled cigarettes instead of those You take from the pack. It helped me in overcoming my addiction. In addition it is not so smelly and the smoke itself is much more pleasant.

I don't smoke but I know people who do. What I know about it is that it's powerfully addictive and hard to quit. It's somewhat comforting to feel that nicotine goodness throughout your body but at the same time it can be repulsive.

My kid brother who smokes once tried Chantix but didn't do it right and still is smoking. He thought you had to quit when you started taking the pills and soon realized he was supposed to smoke the first week of taking them and then stop the second week.

He said he also had vivid dreams while on it so be aware of that.

Try vaping. If you really want to quit it will work.

Wellbutrin helped me. I stopped cold turkey. Patches just draw it out longer, and the nicotine stays in your body longer. Google search positive reasons to stop. Look at pictures of tobacco lungs, some even plugged into hose with air pumping in, and good lungs next to the rotten lungs. Go on Google & search END OF LIVE COPD. My older brother has COPD. It's number four in killing people. The process to dying is so horrible, you would just have to read it to understand.
