My mom says I look just fine, I'm thin, but short, but I don't like my face.
And I can't seem to be good at performing in my chior or band class. And I'm worried I won't do well at work when I get a job... How do I make myself better?? |

Dear Bri,I didn't do well at lots of things in school, either, and neither did I like my face. Your face changes some when you get older, and your bone structure shows more. You might think you are beautiful when you are in your 20's, 30,'s and 40's. You are probably beautiful now and just don't know it. Lots of people are that way, particularly as teens. Even though I wasn't good at a lot of extracirricular school stuff, I learned to work hard, by studying a lot in school. As a result, I was good at all my jobs. You probably will be, too. Don't worry about the choir or the band. Not everyone is musical. You might be a very good dancer. I was a good dancer, but couldn't sign or learn to play a musical instrument, if my life depended on it. Being good at a job is a lot different than trying to learn music. Music is a skill that some people can easily do and others can't. Doing a good job is just a matter of wanting to and being willing to work and to do what you are asked to do. It's totally different. If you are already concerned about doing a good job, then you will want to do a good job, and you will! If your Mom says you look just fine, then I'm sure you do! Try to have a good time instead of worrying so much. Caring about You ~ billieJ
