I've heard that people can condition themselves to change their thinking and bad habits. I have been having trouble breaking bad habits and thinking positive. Has anyone had success with changing?

Hello, Crystal. There are many here who have made changes for the better.

Your posts are replete with comments about what you cannot do. Your circumstances do make getting better more difficult. Have you called the Maryland Department of Health & Mental Hygiene to find out if you and your child are entitled to any assistance? See: http://www.dhmh.state.md.us/mha/howtogethelp.html

Do you have a medical school near you? If so, call and find out if you may be able to get some help there. Always ask if there are other places to check.

Bipolar and Borderline are a tough duo to deal with without professional help.

Please let us know if you have any success in getting help. I wish you and your child the best.
