I always tell people I am very in touch with my inner *****. I am not afraid to be assertive when I need to be. Some may interpret that as being a *****. *shrug* Tomato, to-mah-toe. Whatever! ;-)

I'm big on the "sqeaky-wheel" theory. It usually works for me!
I am not afraid of being assertive, either. It actually surprises me, too, how my behaviour will modify to the circumstance I am in, too. (Such as the ability to speak calmly and with clarity in a business situation or when I am getting chastised for some idiot thing I've done (I can handle that with great decorum), but I am a total freak when it comes to discussing things with my boyfriend, or family). Huh. Maybe I have more control than I thought... Oh crap, now I'll have to start to behave. __________________ "Lord, we know what we are, yet know not what we may be." Hamlet, Act 4, sc v Wm. I'm not quite following what you are saying. Is this connected to a specific post?

I read that the term "*****" is not a cuss word in the ancient history goddess world. Lilitih was happy to be one. It was not until when patriacy took the toll and matriarchy got put into the background that the phrase was to become derogotory.
Please read it for yourself. Lilith was interesting. http://imctwo.csuhayward.edu/apmj/anderson.html It's paragraph 9 that is interesting as well, but the whole article is enlightening Some stories about Lilith that will explain reclaiming our power as females and not equating guilt with feminity and shame with feminity. Read more here. http://books.google.com/books?id=nXl...VuTmCkWbf71IY8 "Independant life loving justice" a quote from it. __________________ "How lovely is the hand of God that soothes the rough road man has trod" (from-Beside Still Waters-A Book by Raymond B. http://books.google.com/books?id=nXl...VuTmCkWbf71IY8 Reading especially page 41 of the book helps us to see how women have stopped doing things they need to do for great advancement , just read more than the introduction . There are about 50 pages past the intro which has a blank page and misleads readers to think there isn't more reading ahead in her book, so if you have the couriousity, read as much as you can, if you have some time. It is about 60 pages yet very knowlegable and educated. To see how the patriarcial system has dirtied females and equated them in derogorotoy ways you can read more histroy of why it happened. Go to http://www.ninedeadlyvenoms.com/answers.htm to get a concise view of why "*****" is now so "wrong," but wasn't long ago. go to amazon for reviews on one of the above books that are nice illustrations about "*****es." http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/cus...55&s=books __________________ "How lovely is the hand of God that soothes the rough road man has trod" (from-Beside Still Waters-A Book by Raymond B. Perna, perhaps it is those who think this term is acceptable that encourage the use of it. In the circles I am active, it is unthinkable to use this term, especially for a successful woman. She is also the president, ceo, etc and considered dynamic, smart, ernest etc. Perhaps there are two different worlds after all? __________________ |

At least I'm treated like a lady, I have always felt those who use slang and smut have poor self-esteem IMO, this is not flaming toward anyone just an opinion

Thanks. I didn't always "have" those circles, I had to pull out of the ones I was in and go it alone while I looked for ppl with integrity. The former groups were of highly professional business women, and another of various adult entrepreneurs...and while there were other self respecting ppl in those groups, they chose to put up with the negativity. I realized I don't have to do that, and since it irritated me, it was the right thing to do.
Studies (old ones at least) group such talk as juvenile, adolescent, and evidence of low self esteem. I've said about all I can on this thread now. I am not above any one else. I am merely farther along on the same path, I think. I hope you all find this element of self care, and self love. You are much more than what this particular term implies to the common man. <center></center> <center><font color="blue">[b]Welcome to PsychCentral!
