DocJohn refers to this cite in his Forum Welcome:

Self-Esteem

The site has an additional resources section, one which is about self-compassion:

Definition of self-compassion
The three elements of self-compassion
What self-compassion is not
Self-compassion versus self-esteem

These two articles add additional perspectives:

Dare to Be Yourself
The Path to Unconditional Self-Acceptance

There is a lot here to digest. I hope you find the time you spend useful.
Thanks for this!
