I don't know why but I have always had the worst self esteem since I was younger really! But I'm so nervous for today. We have group projects and I didn't finish my homework and now I'm really worried! I'm extremely tall and overweight and I wish I was pretty like everyone in my school. I don't lnow, I just wanna have a good day for once with confidence:/

i find the best way to have confidence in school assignments/presentations is to really be prepared and knowledgeable in the material you are assigned. that way no matter what comes up, you know you will be able to handle it.

"Pretty" is situational and transient. Basically, you are pretty, just maybe not to Vogue magazine's definition. Just look at a lot of married people; they do not start together for their good looks!

Be strong. Knowing that you can stand up for your self both physically and emotionally can make you feel confident. Confidence and strength are pretty.

Hey good looking, ask someone who has been through college what happens to the 'popular, good-looking kids' after leaving high school. That way you do not just have to believe me.

Believe me, I had poor self-esteem before too.

With what you stated, asked yourself these questions first.

*What is your definition of pretty?
*Why are you comparing yourself to your other classmates?
*Does comparing bring you any good?

Having a poor self-esteem came from having a poor self-image of yourself. You need to change on what you think of yourself and replace it with good ones. Do not think about the world view of pretty. I tell you, this world is crooked, so don't believe on what it's definition of pretty. Look into the mirror. Find your good assets physically (I assure you, there is many. But if you can see only one [as you have a difficulty seeing it because of your poor self-image, that's okay]. Do not lie to yourself.

You are still young but as you get mature, you will realize that inner beauty is more important than the physical. I've been there
