Do others feel the same (I strongly suspect so):
I dislike how my body looks and feels. It is aesthetically unappealing and uncomfortable. I think of it as a prison house. I generally dislike organic bodies full stop - they are weak, smelly, prone to illness, and die etc. I would prefer we were androids or angels or digital consciousnesses etc. However, I admit that some people have reasonably attractive forms (at least until we get into a close inspection) and I am jealous of these people. I also dislike how my body is so fixed. It irritates me enormously that I can't just change my appearance at will - hair length, gender, height, species etc. I take it others can relate? __________________ male hetero (GNC/CD phases) inorganic psychesexual (objectum spectrum) |

I hate my body because it's old & ugly. Plus it's not the body that ever matched my gender identity either.

I like my body just fine. Sure I looked better when I was younger lol but I still look reasonably attractive. I don’t dislike other people’s bodies either

But I also note that you prefered the younger you to now. And I suspect that feeling will increase as you get older, or if you develop some disease. What would you prefer to your body now, if you could change it? __________________ male hetero (GNC/CD phases) inorganic psychesexual (objectum spectrum) |

It's certainly true that aging is normal and natural. But I can't see why anyone woukdnt orefer to have a young body perpetually than an ever aging one - indeed, it strikes me that the vast majority of people clearly would prefer they didn't get older. Cosmetics sales alone indicate this.
See to me, this indicates that people dislike, to some degree, their bodies after a certain age. I think it's fine for people to accept or cope with something inevitable, but I don't see that as being mutually exclusive with an admission that they don't like they're bodies as they are. Surely it would be illogical to not desire a more attractive, healthier, less uncomfortable, more capable, physical form? __________________ male hetero (GNC/CD phases) inorganic psychesexual (objectum spectrum) |

I can’t speak about what happens in years from now but now it’s all good. I don’t even have grey hair, that’s really a blessing. I probably wouldn’t like that. But who knows. Some people look great with grey hair. “vast majority of people clearly would prefer they didn't get older”. The only alternative to not get older is to not exist. So I beg to differ. Vast majority of us prefer to get older. PS part of the solution is also how you present yourself and how you feel inside. How you dress, your posture, your attitude etc Also part of liking yourself is liking your body. You not liking your body likely stems from you not liking yourself and not liking your life. You aren’t content. I believe your life would improve if you look into roots of your suffering rather than trying to convince others that they are miserable even if they tell you that they aren’t. Do you find it beneficial? |

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree . I'm glad you really like your body and you are attractive and don't mind getting older.
I stick by my statement that most people prefer to not have their bodies age. Literally every single person Irl I've ever met over, say 35, would prefer to have a younger body, and more so as they get older and older. __________________ male hetero (GNC/CD phases) inorganic psychesexual (objectum spectrum) |

Purpose? None. It's not a deliberate choice, no more than someone screams at pain. It's just a thing.
Same with being a billionaire. It's illogical to not want things like happiness, power, immortality etc. It just is the way humans are wired - we want things we cannot have. This is why I think it just clearly true that most people are not totally happy. However, the desire to live longer and younger and healthier for longer has certainly driven humans to much good science, diet, medicine etc and will likely result, in time, to an end to ageing in total. __________________ male hetero (GNC/CD phases) inorganic psychesexual (objectum spectrum) |

I don’t want things I can’t have. What’s the point? When I want things I work to get them. Those are attainable things. Yes it is logical to want happiness as it’s perfectly attainable. Becoming immortal is a fantasy. I don’t engage in fantasy. I don’t find fantasy logical.
If your dislike of your body and overall your life drives you to live healthier and better life, then that serves a purpose. That’s why I asked what’s the purpose of all that. |

Again, I don't think it's about 'having a point', it's simply something that is. If I'm in pain, for example, I just want the pain to stop - even if there is no way for it to end. I don't want to die, even though I cannot prevent it. You make it seem like this is a choice.
It would be illogical to not desire these things, and also be illogical to actively pursue that which is impossible, and both are true and right at the same time. What is the purpose of happiness? What is the purpose of any emotion? __________________ male hetero (GNC/CD phases) inorganic psychesexual (objectum spectrum) |

Sure there is purpose in happiness. We only have one life so I prefer to enjoy it. Now some things we can’t control. Perhaps you can’t control your hate of your own body. Or your loneliness and boredom. But you hopefully can control your desire for unattainable things. That’s why I asked for the purpose of you wanting things that can’t happen. It causes you suffering. Unless you enjoy suffering what’s the point? |

By answering that the purpose of happiness is to enjoy life I think it clear that we are playing different language games here. I think it best we simply agree to disagree rather than go round in circles. I feel that ageing, death, diseases, unattractiveness etc are non-desirable things that cannot be prevented, and I emotionally desire they didn't happen, and the fact they do is an uncontrollable, though totally logical, irritation. Choosing to unhealthily dwell on that irritation is futile and would be a poor choice, but the base irritation and sadness that comes from awareness of the human condition is not a choice - it's just being human. I don't believe desire, in the way I'm using the word, is something chosen or controlled. It is an emotion - a simple 'I want' urge. This cannot be removed, I think. __________________ male hetero (GNC/CD phases) inorganic psychesexual (objectum spectrum) |

I don’t see anything to agree or disagree with here. PC is not really a debate/discourse type of forum. I hope you find help you are looking for or if you don’t want help, I hope you find some type of peace. Good luck.
