I really wanted to get my trash out yesterday. For YEARS I hated taking out the trash, it was physically hard on me to do so it made me anxious and sour-tempered.

But yesterday I also got my dishes done, and some put away. And today, I have already been doing some simple chores and changing how I do my self-care in my day-to-day life.

PLUS I still have NO fattening food cravings! I still eat ice-cream and some candy but I don't gorge on it. It's portion control and moderation.

I think yesterday I felt firsthand a feeling of satisfaction I have never felt before.

I am thrilled!!

Wow! That's Awesome!

I wonder if it could be some part of you connected to feeling that it was difficult to do has healed. Does that make sense?

That is what I work on the hardest; working on accepting what hurts me, what I cannot change. The facts in my life that caused me to stop dead in my tracks in the past no longer affect me that way. I am seeing remedies now. Sure is a lot more fun!!

That's wonderful to hear, Happy Crafter. It's amazing how getting a task done, however small, can make you feel better. I'm simply delighted for you!

Now if I could get my own butt in gear LOL...

Seriously though, lately I've been reading through a portion of Feeling Good - you probably know about that book - having to do with getting things done. He says to write down the first thoughts you have when approaching a task. Mine usually are: "I can't do it." But sometimes if I just agree with myself that I can't do it, to prevent a long, fruitless argument with myself, and while agreeing with myself that I won't be able to do it I just start doing it anyway, sometimes I CAN get it done.

If only all those parts of myself could get it together.....

((((( HUGS to you )))))

None can change the past. It is whatever it was, but...we can work on the future in the present.

This is so awesome! As far as food goals, I think that I'm least successful when I completely restrict myself. I always allow myself a little bit in moderation so I can still enjoy it, just in a healthy way. For example, I have a Starbucks really close to me, so I tell myself I can get it twice a month. That way I'm not depriving myself and I have something to look forward to!
