Just wondering why it would be that if something somewhat small is bothering me, and I feel that I can't go on, when something little that's good news comes along I feel better and can go on with little issues.

Any thoughts on why that is?

Curious more than anything.

Thank you!

I know what you mean, when a stranger smiles and holds a door open for me, I feel in my heart at that time humanity possesses inherit good............ Why is it the small things that make me feel bad or good?

On the other hand, when someone says, 'Good job!!...' When i spill something, it hurts me deep down, and the back of my mind becomes incessant that I am ALWAYS clumsy and that my personality is flawed in ways others just isn't compared to my own personality......

But that's me............I'd love to hear other's little things and little issues that we feel and think each day? Why is it the small things that make me feel bad or good?

Humans tend to focus on whatever is wrong or bad...regardless of how small, I think. One litte thing in a perfectly good day will cause someone to say and feel it was a bad day. Not so!

Our days depend upon our outlook. Change your perspective and you can have a good life, little things included. Why is it the small things that make me feel bad or good?

I love the small stuff. Why is it the small things that make me feel bad or good? But for good, not bad. I really don't sweat the small stuff generally... and my life used to rotate around it a very long time ago. My perspective changed, and I think I have a pretty good handle usually about what is really important and what isn't worth my energy. I have to keep that perspective to keep from being caught up in drama though Why is it the small things that make me feel bad or good?

Regarding this and PC.... I like to see a smiley in a post, or a color or something that breaks up the monotony, in chat too. Little things that brighten my day. I appreciate when someone sends me a quick PM telling me their thoughts (good ones I hope) of a particular post I made. I try to do the same for others.

I fret about the little things, but big things I realize how small I am and how little control I have, I give them up to a higher power.

But the smallest things make me happy, a marathon of my favorite program on TV, the kids unloading the dishwasher without being asked...

Hmmm. There's a quote that I've kept for many years, that may be related, at least for the positive small things.

"Enjoy the Little Things of Life.
For one day, you'll look back and realize they were the Big Things."
