I like the avatar and think the quotes are appropriate. Don't feel weird or out of place. We are all just human.

((((((((((((moonkin)))))))))))))I'm sorry you're feeling so out of place lately. If you want to go into chat but are nervous sometime, pm me and I'll go in with you. I don't see any problem with your avatar or your quotes. I think for the most part these are ways of expressing ourselves, and I don't think we're a judgemental bunch here. Let me know, like I said, and I'll go into chat with you.

I have similar feelings of being out of place here. You are not alone.

We are all unique. I guess it comes down to if you like yourself or not?.....

Yes it surely does...we MUST all learn to like and even LOVE ourselves enough to know that we deserve better! Try to fight through the fear of feeling different and do it ANYWAY!

I like your avatar :-D

I wish I could put my own up.. but it doesnt seem like they'll let me do a custom one yet.

I think its great to express yourself, even if it is just an avatar.

Don't be afraid to post, everyone here seems very nice :-D

First of all, I love the XFILES, particularly back when it was Sculley and Mulder vs. Sculley and the other dude (who played the evil terminator in Terminator 2). My favorite episodes were mostly around the Roswell incident and government conspiracies (vs. superhuman powers and paranormal stuff).

I have an odd fascination with Classic Star Trek too... I'm not sure if I'm a "Trekkie" or not, but if it counts I met William Shatner when I was a kid, and also the guy who played "Scottie"---and Scottie gave me his autograph. As I understand it, since "Scottie" aka Jimmie Doohan is deceased, his autograph is worth quite a bit of money. Did you ever see "2001 A Space Odessy"? Yeah, I met the guy who played "Frank" the astronaut--his name is Gary Lockwood. He was way nice and gave me his autograph too. That's way cool in my book. I don't think your poster is the culprit here--just low self esteem brought on by anxiety driven self-doubt.

You have an anxiety disorder right?
I get scared of simple things sometimes... crowds. Opening mail. All sorts of weird stuff. The only way to get over it is to do it even though it is uncomfortable. Eventually it will become comfortable. Yeah, I mostly open my mail now.

I've got Generalized Anxiety Disorder and Panic Disorder. I used to be afraid to run around the track sometimes because I was scared that I would impulsively jump over the side rails and/or get a panic attack.

Anxiety is never logical.
