In my case, I got pushed into writing how I felt. My Mom emailed me giving me heck over a few things, and her not really having the correct details. Boy, did I tell her the way it is!! I have decided also that all of the babysitting I have been doing for panic reasons will stop! Hubby and I have things we want to do, too, and we did our time raising kids and grandkids. It is time for us to be free to enjoy the things we like to do. We love the grandkids dearly, but I don't want to raise them. I think that whether we tell people how we feel in person or write it down, sometimes things need to be said. We always have to remember that the abusers probably will not change, but they will know where we stand, and be more careful around us. As I write this, I hear the spring birds calling out. Wow, what a good sound!!

I agree with Pat. Good job sticking up for yourself. You have done your time, you deserve a little bit of freedom for yourself and your hubby. Take care and hope you have some fun!

Hugs,
Kimberly.

Way to set boundaries CJR! You figured out some important things for yourself and your future. How wise of you to act upon those realizations now!

Good job! It is great to hear about folks taking a stand and keeping firm a boundary with someone abusive within the family.

Sounds like you gave and gave and gave...........now you and hubby take some time to go frolick with the singing spring birds Writing how we feel
