I am a female myself weighing 125 pounds. Yesterday I was assaulted by a female of 90 pounds and she won as she tried to strangle me in rush hour traffic. I was stopped at a signal waiting for the green when she rearended my new car. I got out to examine the rear and she exited her car, literally flew through the air and jumped on my back with her hands around my throat. She told me if I pressed charges she would kill me. Long story short. I filed a police report and the District Attorney called me this morning to tell me she and her husband were members of a well-known drug/mafia family in west los angeles and did I want to press charges. I said "no." I'd like to live a few more years. Next time I get rearended I will continue driving and stay in my car. Uggh.

How horrible! I'm sorry to hear about the accident.

Hope that you weren't injured and your car is okay. Most new cars are made to crunch on impact though, to absorb most of the energy ~ rather than shake it & let you absorb the impact internally. (((hugs))) to you!!

Oh my gosh! I'm glad you're physically okay (you are, right?), and I don't think I would have pressed charges either. It's terrible what people like that get away with.

Other than some claw marks on my neck, I am just shaken up. And the car is okay, too. Thanks for asking.

Irony: the real criminals do not have to be accountable for their actions...they get to go free as long as they terrorise anyone who even thinks about getting justice. Go figure!

I think it would be nice (!) if something could be done that wasn't prosecution but still "got the attention" of people like that. They must be realllllly unhappy to have to act that way, attacking people as though it were a pre-emptive move, that they expect to be attacked themselves so they attack first. It would be nice to find some way to let them know that they had not "won" but still kept you safe.

Hmmm...I agree, but in this case I would not take a chance with my safety.

Gosh Phoenix I'm so very sorry this happened to you! It must have been terrifying ... it's a hard one, in an ideal world this person should be punished for her actions, why should people like her get away with what she's done to you? Her issues were so unfair against you. Let's just hope the police can do something (knowing how this family live their lives) without it having no repercussions on you .... safe hugs Ophelia xxxxx
