You do not have to let him into your life. You do have power. You just need to embrace it. You have the right to protect yourself and you are capable of protecting yourself. Please keep us posted!

Have you seen your therapist or a therapist about this? Is the SI still ongoing? I think you realize you need help. Do what you have to to get it.

Good luck.
Thanks for this!

lonely and scared - it is hard to leave an abuser who had power over us. You may want to research Stockholm Syndrome and see if any of that information can help you understand what you might be going through at this time.

The fact though is that no one deserves to be abused.
You can make a choice to reject the abuser and fight against it. It might not be easy - but the choice can be made. If you have to, get the law involved. Reach out to other people in your local community - churches, shelters, social support systems - reach out to anyone who will listen and keep doing that until you contact people who can help you out. There are folks IRL who want to help and will do so.

You are not alone. I took my Ex back 32 times. God, I shutter at that number. 32 times of change that he promised, but never came through.
I pretty much invited a beating on myself everytime I let him come back.
That's what low self-esteem does to you. Good luck.

Because it says something about your friend and/or you. It outlines what is bothering you and what you are facing, what your choices are.
