The Verbally Abusive Relationship by Patricia Evans.....Verbal abuse is so insidious. It is literally brainwashing. The same techniques used by POW camps are the same ones used by abusers.

It is a shredding of the Soul. One Ph.D. said of the book: "IT is the cornerstone of civilizatiion." I concur.

I have written 3 papers on the subject, and it is one of my passions to get that message out there. I have been on 2 radio talk shows and plan to get on National tv.

The statistics are staggering: 1 in 3 women abused and every 9 seconds a woman is assaulted.

One of my papers is entitled: Society's Hidden Epidemic: Verbal Abuse: Precursor to Physical Violence and a Form of Biochemical Assault.

If anyone would like it, I will glady e-mail it to you (write to me: wacalice@aol.com)

This recursive cycle will continue until society is educated.
Thanks for this!

Thanks for doing this! I appreciate your doing advocacy on verbal...emotional abuse.

It is so masked at times but it is a terrible thing.
