I'm trying to come to grips with what my mother did to me as a child. Have done the group thing and have a new therapist, but I'm really feeling discouraged. I mean, it's not like I can ever be clean again anyway, right? So what's the point?

Welcome Gracey.

I'm sorry to hear you had an abusive childhood.

Maybe your new T will offer up the hope and encouragement you need to heal.

There is healing.

There is cleansing.

It takes as much courage now to overcome it, then it did to withstand it.

I wish you healing thoughts.

Gracey try and give your new t and yourself some time to heal. You do not need to be cleansed but come to the realization what a wonderful person you are and it was not you who was wrong. Try and be kind to yourself.
