a brunette baby doll with clenched fists and a soft body. She is part of a molestation memory but she is my babydoll and I can't find one anywhere. She had big cheeks.

Hi WW,

**hugs** to you-- I'm sorry for a part of the memory you have. Thumbalina
One of my big sister's had a Thumblina doll-- I can see her in my memories. I hope you can find one some day.

That brings a thought to my mind....... when I was 7, I was given a little pink metal elephant pin by an abuser-- never wore it-- I recall I put it in a little coin purse and then put that in our attic. ....... Now, fast forward years and years later.... a part of me wants to see that pin--- but I wonder----- why? Could it be that some (like me) are looking for the connection that validates the abuse? or sometimes I wonder.... is it a twisted way of knowing that for what ever reason--- I was wanted at some time in my life??

(Don't mean to hijack your thread Wisewoman)

Mandy wrote,

Maybe the elephant represents that little girl.

Isn't that what we all did to ourselves?

Locked ourselves up, stuffed our souls away and hid. Thumbalina

No need for apologies or to bow out of anything, Mandy.

(Highjack was a bad word choice and I didn't mean you highjacked)

You did nothing wrong.

Conversations are a good thing.

No hijack at all. The thing is I remember being in kindergarten and sitting on the bed waiting for the afternoon bus. I was sucking on her fists. The rest is...... Then I remember getting on the bus with a lot of marbles in my pocket. That was my bribe for silence. But the doll was not bad, I just hardly had toys and she disappeared? I would have been just 6 perhaps? The baby in the picture is the one I remember. Thanks. Weird how our memories work.
