It doesn't happen all the time....last week it got so bad I retaliated. I think he gets off to seeing me hurt. In the past he's called me stupid, loser, idiot among some other choice words. Last week he called me a psycho *****. I had so much rage inside me....I don't understand why I get this way. In the end I'm at fault because I retaliated. Is it a mind game?! Why am I to name when he's the abuser. Granted it doesn't happen all the time. Feeling very lost.

Abusers will turn everything around and make it crazy. You deserve better. Why are you staying with him?

Even though its "doesn't happen often", the fact is it will likely happen again and probably again. Eventually it will squash and wither your self esteem. Don't tolerate it.

Im sorry you have to deal with abuse. There is NO excuse for someone abusing you in any way, sure there are reasons why someone would do that to you but they are NEVER good reasons and always a fault of their own, not yours.

Abusers always seem to make their victims feel like they are at fault. You are not the blame. You deserve to be treated with respect. I am not surprised that you retaliated. All of us have our limits and sometimes that is the only language that verbal bullies can understand. It can be a no win situation
You are not alone.

so do you feel like if you stand up for yourself he will make you feel like its your fault? When you retaliate what do you do? I yelled at my husband today for things I have been asking him about nicely for weeks. I just blew up from being ignored and he threatened to leave me for yelling at him.
