MAY TRIGGER-CAUTION
i am a survivor of domestic violence. i used many available help resources to get out that circumstance. there are so many ways abuse occurs-husband/wife to the other spouse, adults abusing their elderly parents, teens "in love", etc. i learned that no one ever has the right to treat me that way-either physically or emotionally. i'm sure there may be success stories tho i feel sure that number is rare and statistics bare that up. in my case like this article states, the cycle speeds up, the "honeymoon" phase no longer exists, and the situation escalates to dangerous if not life-threatening porportions. so i hope i'm not triggering any of you. just intend to inform as it was once done for me. and YES any/all abuse is never acceptable. no one ever has that right.
