My father had out of control anger/rages. I was terrified of him. I saw him choke my older sister once because he was so angry. He was violent and just plain out of control. I knew sex and physical touch would calm him down, so I would do things to prevent him from getting too angry. That way I wasn't always waiting for something to happen. I felt more in control that way.

I guess that's pretty sick, huh?

Sounds like you found a way to cope with a very scary situation. Kids are like that.
